“This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in quite a few. The ambiance of walking out of your room and being in the middle of a rain / cloud forest is absolutely amazing. On the grounds they have many activities, for instance orchid and bird walks. They obviously spend a lot of time making sure there are plenty of birds to see. I've stood 1m from several hummingbirds as they were feeding, quite a magical experience. The room service was very good, the breakfast was very nice, really a nice experience overall. I'd recommend just staying an extra day to spend on the hotel grounds.”

“We stayed at Inkaterra last year. I am compelled to leave this comment because during our 3-day stay, we witnessed 2 birds (one beautiful parakeet) killed by flying into the big bright uncoated windows in the dining area. It is a shame that a nature-preserving place did not bother to coat their windows so that birds don’t crash into them and die. We liked our stay, but seeing the birds die in this way cast a sad shadow over our experience. We sincerely hope the management can do something to those windows so that they don’t kill more birds.”
